Journalist Artan Hoxha spoke about the request sent to the Assembly by SPAK regarding the tightening of security measures for the "Partizani" case.
In the "Opinion" show, Hoxha analyzed all the actions of the Prosecutor's Office and the Special Court, emphasizing that the judicial process seems to have "dismantled" the chief democrat, using the reactions of the latter.
Excerpts from the studio conversation:
Artan Hoxha: This time it seems as if it was worked a little more carefully compared to the other case because they tried to dismantle Berisha little by little and use his reactions. So, the first measure that was taken, they waited to see what reaction it would have, i.e. what kind of popular support or political movement.
Blendi Fevziu-Why does SPAK also calculate politically?
Artan Hoxha: I am not saying that SPAK calculates it, but it is not insensitive that they also live here. Secondly, when they saw that this did not create this kind of problem, when they saw Berisha's reaction, that maybe they thought that he would make this kind of choice from the first moment. This file has something very special, if you look at how the investigation started in 2020. But Berisha's name was entered only on October 2, 2023. The measure was requested on the 16th and signed on the 20th. The time is very short, only on October 2 was Berisha's name registered as a person under investigation for the charge of passive corruption. Later, the action of the Court appeared, which at the same time avoided the Assembly, because Berisha said to face it in the Assembly. What is now reserved for Berisha and the way the Meta case is being processed, it seems that those who lead it and are behind it... The situation for me is no longer a legal issue, but a political issue because it will be a decision in the Parliament of Albania.
