The residents of Rrjoll are protesting in front of the Parliament for the protection of their properties. Today is the 34th day, while the resistance on the ground continues without interruption. The residents have expressed their determination not to retreat from their position.
This rally is being organized by Agron Shehaj's party.
"I promise Bashkim Ulaj that we will not leave our grandparents' property. Because he probably left his entire family barefoot on that property to inherit, but today an ignorant person comes and thinks he can take it. I am one of those owners, and I will not allow anyone to take our inheritance. I say it again, Gzim Ulaj will not enjoy my land until I die...", said one of the residents of Rrjoll.
But also citizens of Durrës have joined the protest, who oppose the TID project.
Residents declare that they are willing to sacrifice everything to protect the property that, according to them, has belonged to them for generations.
"We are ready to sacrifice our lives for property," they said.
They emphasize that they will continue their resistance until a solution is found for the property issue in this area.
The construction of “Blu Borgo” on an area of 146 hectares was started by oligarch Bashkim Ulaj in early February. The project envisages 33 accommodation and service structures, with buildings from 3 to 10 floors above ground and one underground floor. The developer is the company “ABA Blue Borgo”, with the status of a strategic investor.
