Following the Constitutional Court's decision, a date has been set for the review of Belinda Balluku's appeal against the decisions on security measures by the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime.
The case will be reviewed in the Appeal Court of the Kosovo Criminal Court by the same panel, with Judge Miliana Muça, on March 9, at 09:00.
The hearing is expected to take place within the framework of further judicial proceedings following the decision issued by the Constitutional Court.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, responded to the chairman of the DP group, Gazment Bardhi, in the Assembly after the latter accused that the regulation is being violated regarding the report of the Mandates Council on the immunity of Belinda Balluku.
Balla said that Democrat Bardhi lied and that the Socialist Party is within the deadline to express its opinion regarding this issue. He explained to the public that by respecting the deadline, the reports will be ready at the first session, which falls on March 12.
"Regarding the lies that were spread in this hall, our position has been clear, in the meeting of the Council of Ministers on behalf of the five deputies representing the SP, we have made our position clear and also at the end of the meeting we communicated how the Assembly's regulations clarify this procedural act. There were two positions in the Mandates Council and this is clear in the minutes of that meeting. The Assembly's regulations state that at the end of the review, the Council drafts a report within two weeks. We are within the time allowed by the regulations. This parliamentary group is serious that the group leader, the assembly president, does not make decisions, but in the party, collegial decisions are made. On February 23, I publicly communicated that as soon as the recommendation is submitted by the 5 deputies, the two-week deadline will be respected, the claim that the deadline is being violated is refuted. I clarify to the public that as soon as it is ready within this deadline in the first session, which is session 12 "In March, naturally both reports will be ready," said Balla.
