This morning, 27 homes in the village of Ferras and entire areas of agricultural land are under the power of water from the overflow of the Vjosa river bed.
Residents claim that the situation began to become alarming starting yesterday evening, as they were able to take their livestock and agricultural equipment out onto the road.
According to the village headman, Zani Hyka, the situation appears to be serious at the moment, with 15 of the 27 flooded homes still habitable, while the evacuation of a sick resident to the social housing of the Fier municipality has been requested.
Meanwhile, the Martina collector remains a major problem as it has reached its maximum quota and if it overflows, 160 families are at risk.
The residents who are at risk feel alarmed as they have not seen such a situation for 6 years. Meanwhile, in addition to civil emergency structures, army forces have also arrived on the ground.
