The weightlifter, Pirro Dhima, reacted to the Court's decision to sentence the elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri, to 2 years in prison.
In a post on "Instagram", Dhima writes that Beleri was sentenced in a mock trial, without evidence, without witnesses and without communication with his lawyer.
He says that Rama's regime confirmed once again that the rule of law does not exist in Albania.
Dhima further adds that he will continue the fight to protect the rights of the Greek national minority until the rule of law is established.

The predetermined and unfair decision to punish the elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri and Pandeli Kokaveshi by Rama's regime brought us to times we want to forget.
A mock trial, no evidence, no witnesses, no communication with their lawyer.
The violation of the Himariots was that we elected him mayor, which contradicts the plans of Edi Rama. The municipality of Himara has been waiting for 9 months for the swearing in of its mayor, Fredi Beleri, while Rama's regime confirmed once again that the rule of law does not exist in Albania.
The violation of human rights, the principles of the rule of law are personified in the provocative sentence of the elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri and Panteli Kokaveshi.
It is the duty of all of us to stand by our people until the truth shines. I wish and hope that this decision goes to the Court of Appeal so that justice and truth are restored.
We will continue our just struggle with more energy to defend the rights of the Greek national minority until the rule of law is established and our human rights are restored.
We are determined to continue our fight and we are not afraid.
