The former head of the police, Arben Hajdarmataj, spoke about the race for the new head of the State Police. Hajdarmataj said that he sees the adoption of the new law as deliberate on the eve of the election year.
"On the basis of what is said and what is written in the law, in principle it is good, but I think things should come to the sense or the practical level. Even in the communications that I had the opportunity to communicate in the media, on this matter and in cases others, I was of the opinion that the General Director of the State Police should not be left in the hands of a competition or a commission. My argument is from the beginning of the process of a new law.
Let's not forget that the State Police law has changed more at any time, within a government.
It is the law that has had occasional and comprehensive changes. Even this law that was made now, I see the approval on the eve of the election year as deliberate because this law has been circulating in various institutions for at least 3 years.
This is where my skepticism begins that the law changes to justify an action 6-7 months before the elections" , said Hajdarmataj in "Ora News".
