The testimony of the former mayor of Kukës, Safet Gjici, in the Special Court has been clarified.
He stated that he received the punishment for the mistake he made, but he did not break the law. And for this reason, he says that the municipality he has run has not seen any project.
"I was punished for the action I did, I received the punishment for the mistake I made. There is no project, we have not seen a project, I have not broken the law. I fell into the trap of those who do not love me, I did not commit a legal violation, I agree with the lawyer's position", he said before the judges.
GJKKO has left in force the prison arrest measure for former mayor Safet Gjici as well as house arrest for the girl in the video, Alma K.
Alma's lawyer, Natasha Veliaj, told the media that she asked the court to remove the security measure, but it was not accepted and she was placed under house arrest.
According to her, the measure should be removed because she has a minor child and a sick mother and is the only one who works.
It is expected that today there will be a statement from Safet Gjici, who, apart from the reaction on social networks when he resigned and claimed to have fallen into a trap, has not had any reaction to the video scandal.
