Protesters start marching on the streets of Tirana!

The march was accompanied by cheers and massive participation from citizens of different ages, turning the protest into a manifestation in the capital.

With national flags in their hands and banners with political messages, hundreds of protesters began marching through the streets of Tirana, as part of a protest against the Rama government and the old politics.

The column of protesters is filling some of the main axes of the capital. The atmosphere was characterized by a combination of civic revolt and creativity, where banners became the most prominent element of the march.

Among the crowd, banners with inscriptions such as "Wake up Albania!" and "Europe, can you hear us?" stood out, while others mocked political figures through photomontages and satirical messages. Protesters used humor and symbolism to express their dissatisfaction with governance, corruption, the exodus of young people from the country, and the electoral processes.

The rally began at 6:00 PM at Skanderbeg Square, where participants continue to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. During the rally, chants such as "Edi Rama, resign", "The homeland is not for sale", and other slogans against the political class were heard.

Citizens made a direct appeal to Prime Minister Edi Rama, stating that if he cares about the country and the interests of Albanians, he should resign. According to them, his removal from the government would pave the way for a political solution and restore citizens' trust in institutions. The call "If you care about Albania, resign" was repeated several times during the rally.

We recall that similar demonstrations have been held in several other cities in the country, including Vlora, Durrës, Shkodra and Pogradec. Supportive rallies have also been held by Albanian communities abroad.
