Former Minister of Finance, Arben Malaj, has reacted sharply to the language used by the majority, describing it as part of the "DNA of the Renaissance".
Arben Malaj has criticized the statements of Socialist Party leaders towards the opposition and protesters, adding that hate speech harms political and social peace in the country.
While referring to the statement "May your rifle become a cannon", Malaj focused on the new Minister of Justice, Lamallari, who he said has no reason to use such language towards political opponents.
According to him, this is an effort to adapt to the aggressive leadership model of the SP, where attacking the opposition is seen as a guarantee for a political career.
Malaj emphasized that the problem is not only in the words, but also in the concrete acts of the majority, accusing MPs and ministers of abusing public funds.
"Albania does not move forward with arrogance and contempt. The first condition for political cooperation is language and courtesy ," he said.
According to the former minister, the offensive strategy against the opposition is a direct result of the way the Socialist Party was built and run after 2013, an approach that is harming not only the SP, but also Albania itself.
