Criminology professor Ervin Karamuço commented on the strategy published by SPAK for investigating electoral crimes.
He also touched on the warnings made by Prime Minister Rama, who stated that it is not normal for the prosecution to monitor parties. But he said that it is the Assembly itself that, in the recommendations it gave to SPAK in its annual report, calls for proactive investigations into the elections.
" SPAK's engagement in these elections comes not only because of SPAK's legal obligations with electoral crimes, but also as a result of the recommendations given by the political class itself, through the Assembly, where the recommendations said to conduct as many proactive investigations as possible in the 2025 elections. So it was politics that asked SPAK to deal with electoral crimes ," he said.
