Among the 301 assets seized by court decisions in the country, recently published in a catalog by the Agency for the Administration of Seized and Confiscated Assets, stand out those worth millions of euros belonging to organized crime bosses and those investigated for corruption.
With them, the 25 assets of the Berisha family, with two defendants for corruption and money laundering, Sali Berisha and his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi. For 13 of the 25 seized properties, accompanied by photos of their interiors, Report TV has discovered that over 17 million euros of assets are involved. 5 apartments spread across Tirana, from "Mustafa Matohiti" street to the "Magnet" complex, luxury villas in Lalëzit Bay, 3 business units, from shops to gyms, 1 plot of land, 2 basements and 1 garage.
The villa in Lalëzit Bay with an area of 187.7 m2 has a value of 11.9 million lekë, including the land. The luxurious apartment, which can also be seen from the interior views, located near the Guard of the Republic, is valued by the court at 48.5 million lekë, about 485 thousand euros, and has an area of 208.2 m2. No less luxurious is the other apartment on “Mustafa Matohoti” street, 128.3 m2, which according to the authorities is valued at 15.3 million lekë.
The 356.3 m2 apartment in the “Magnet” complex, which according to the images is used for offices, is worth 44.3 million lekë, or about 443 thousand euros. In the same complex there is another office apartment, with an area of 375 m2, is worth 46.6 million lekë, over 460 thousand euros. A third apartment used for offices is located in “Magnet”, 346.1 m2, valued at 43 million new lekë, or 430 thousand euros.
Another asset of Malltez, of very high value, is this large land area of 3 thousand m2 that has been seized in Priska e Madhe, which is worth 134.4 million lek, or over 1.3 million euros. The other assets of the Berisha family are several apartments, garages or even basements, also in expensive areas of Tirana.
The 614-page catalog highlights the seized assets of the divorcing couple, Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi.
The villa of the Grand Duke at Kodra e Diellit, amidst luxury and carefully selected furnishings, is estimated to cost 51.7 million lekë, with a total area of all premises, almost 620 m2.
The catalog includes 15 of the more than 30 properties seized from the gambling boss, who has been missing for almost 3 years, Ervis Martinaj. In addition to thousands of square meters of land and land in Fushë Kuqe and other areas, as far south as the country, there are also 2 villas in Tirana, the first worth 8.4 million lekë for 580 m2, and the second, a 2-story villa in Dajt, with auxiliary facilities such as playgrounds and a large surrounding area, for which there is no set value, writes "Shqiptarja.com".
