Although it was announced that the Eid al-Fitr prayer would be held at 7:30 a.m. in Skanderbeg Square, it was actually prayed 15 minutes earlier, leaving many believers without performing the ritual.
" The Muslim Community of Albania informs all believers that Eid al-Fitr will be prayed on Sunday, 30.03.2025, at "Skënderbej Square", Tirana. The Eid al-Fitr Prayer Ceremony begins at 06.45 with Quran reading and lectures, while at 07.30 we stand in prayer ," the KMSH stated.
But it seems that everything went as planned and at around 07.15 the prayer was announced, catching many believers who were heading towards "Skënderbej" Square by surprise. Hundreds of people missed the prayer due to this inaccuracy. There was a lot of criticism on social networks.
" The Eid prayer 15 minutes after the official announcement made by the KMSH shows the irresponsibility of the leaders of the Muslim Community, as well as the disloyalty, mockery and oppression that the Gülenist leaders of the KMSH inflict on Albanian Muslims ," some say.
