Comedian Ermal Mamaqi has reacted with threats of lawsuits against the media, regarding the publication of the evidence obtained from the SPAK file; where he turns out to be part of the organized criminal group of Ilir Beqaj and Ermal Kurtulaj, who stole government funds and EU donations through the "Gzona" restaurant and state projects with fiscal fraud.
According to SPAK's investigative file, it appears that Ermal Mamaqi's role in the thefts of the "Beqaj-Kurtulaj" group was to issue false invoices through his "ME'NAM" restaurant, for services not performed by Ilir Beqje, from which, the comic Mamaqi took the parts according to the bargains made.
In just one whip of the investigation, SPAK mentions Ermal Mamaq 7 times, as the issuer of false invoices worth millions of lek, through his restaurant "ME'NAM" for Ilir Beqaj's "Gzona" restaurant, for the Directorate of Donations and state projects of Ermal Kurtulaj, stealing through tax fraud of the State Treasury.
However, comedian Ermal Mamaqi reacted by saying that the published evidence is slander; and that he has "clean hands", asking the media to urgently delete the published articles, otherwise they will end up in the prosecutor's office and the court.
In his response, he says: It is fake news, I am not involved in any money laundering scheme and he calls on the media to deny and delete all the news on my address regarding this matter, because otherwise, to anyone to have legal proceedings with consequences.
But Mamaqi, Amit's husband, wrongly addressed the threat to the media, since they only published the evidence in the SPAK file, where it turns out that he has issued fictitious invoices several times for the account of Ilir Beqaj and Ermal Kurtulaj.
And according to the Code of Criminal Procedure, issuing false tax invoices is a criminal offense, while the financial effect of false invoices is a criminal activity of money laundering, through fiscal fraud, falsification of tax documents and fraud of the State Treasury.
Based on this criminal offense, already filed in the investigation file, the comic Ermal Mamaqi should not ask the media to refute and delete the articles, but the refutation should be asked to the SPAK that he gave to the media.
Even if, as he says, he is "with clean hands" and has no connection in this money laundering activity with Ilir Beqaj; and the threat of lawsuits, Mamaqi should make to SPAK prosecutors who put it in the investigation file.
But before that, he must come out again and even together with Amin, to declare the financial resources of the purchase of the 700 million Lek villa in 2016 at the Rolling Hills complex in Sauk, both of the 2 apartments and another villa in Tirana; both 215 m2 and 145 m2 business premises in the center of Tirana, of the "ME' NAM" restaurant, while on January 27, 2023, he inaugurated the "Relux" hotel complex with 7 floors in the Tufina area, which is 100% owned by him.
