Zef Brozi calls the mandatory appearance and ban on leaving the country for Sali Berisha as the long-awaited day for Albanians, while urging SPAK and GJKKO to continue the investigation.
The former president of the Court of Cassation, Zef Brozi, has reacted to the investigations being carried out on the Partizan affair. Brozi requested that affairs like the one on January 21, Gërdec and CEZ be taken into consideration.
" Finally SPAK and the Special Court took the first step that honest Albanians had been waiting for years. Therefore SPAK and the Special Court should be welcomed, supported and encouraged to continue investigating and punishing the corruption and crimes of any former high-ranking official.
I believe that the media and the press can and should bring to mind January 21, Gërdec, CEZ, etc. and they insist that justice should be brought before the responsibility of those who have gone unpunished until today.
I strongly support the independence of SPAK and the Special Anti-Corruption Court and appeal to put an end to the blackmails, threats and denigrations that some MPs, politicians and others are making against the prosecutors and judges of these hopeful institutions for Albania.
I urge SPAK, the Special Court and BKH to continue with courage and professionalism the investigation and trial of corruption and crime of the highest state officials and former officials. This is the only way they do a great service to their country and the Albanian citizens in the journey towards membership in the European Union.
Sequester and confiscate the assets that these rulers and former rulers have robbed from Albania with corruption and abuse. The support of the institutions of America and the European Union for SPAK, BKH and the Special Court becomes bigger and more multifaceted every day! "- said Brozi.
