"The Minister of Interior tried to exonerate the police", Prençi: "Illyrian Guard" is filled with pensioners

Former Police Chief Shemsi Prençi has criticized Interior Minister Alban Koçiu after her reaction regarding the serious incident at the Court of Appeal, where judge Astrit Kalaja was killed.

Prençi said that the minister tried to exonerate the police, while adding that the security company is under the authority of the institution she heads. According to him, this company was created by former minister Lleshi and was filled with pensioners.

"The Minister of Interior gave the mocking answer, exempting the police from responsibility because she tried to exonerate them but did not realize that the Ilirian Guard is subordinate to the Ministry of Interior. And this leads to the nonsense of Law 7501. Then we have the Prime Minister's order to send 500 police officers to Theth and there are no police officers to guard the Court of Appeal. Under the direction of the former Minister of Justice, a new justice map was drawn up that created a stock of files, confusing Albanians and angering them," Prençi told "A2 CNN".
