The post of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania:
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Mr. Thomas Dhima. He devotedly served our Church for three decades, as a journalist, in charge of the press office and editor-in-chief of the "Njjallja" newspaper.
He was one of the close collaborators of Archbishop Anastas from the first years of the canonical revival of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania.
He was also a husband, a devoted parent and a cooperative colleague. He will be remembered as soft-spoken and soft-spoken, who radiated kindness and as such enjoyed the respect of all.
The family lost an exemplary husband and parent, the Church lost a good worker and Archbishop Anastas a close collaborator. His contribution to the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania will be remembered for a long time.
In these moments of pain for his family, Archbishop Anastas is standing by them with prayers and consolation.
We pray that God rest his soul with the righteous!
The Funeral Service will be performed on Sunday, August 18 at 12:30 in the "Evangelization" Church in Tirana and then the burial in the cemetery in "Sharre", Kombinat.
