Operation in Durrës/Vezaj: Arrest warrants from Italy were issued in

After the mega-operation with 51 arrest warrants and 1 detention order, the police are still searching for the head of the group known as "Visi i Pojës", or Elvis Doçit, as well as 9 other people.

Journalist Flamur Vezaj, in a communication for the news edition on MCN TV, said that the arrest warrants from the Italian Antimafia were issued in February, raising questions about the delay in the action of SPAK, which intervened only three months after the end of the elections.

" In my opinion, this operation, besides being delayed, also has many question marks. What is impressive is the fact that I believe we all agree that people with high social risk should end up in prison. But how is it possible that key people like Visi i Pojës, or Xhevdet Troplini, have already been declared wanted, when it is suspected that they are the organizers and leaders of this mafia?"

"And how is it possible that Troplini has no security measures, while his nephew is also wanted, as well as Xhevdet's son, Fatmir? " he said.

Vezaj emphasized that one of the main issues is that the Italian Anti-Mafia Prosecutor's Office issued the arrest warrants in February, while SPAK only acted after three months.

" How is it possible that, having joint investigative groups, the SPAK Prosecution Office has not implemented the court's decision since February for these characters, and has acted now, after the elections. The investigations have started since 2014, when the arrest warrant for Fatmir Troplini was issued. How is it possible that SPAK has not acted since February, having had such investigations since 2014 ," he added.
