Analyst Enton Abilekaj commented on the opposition protest and the aims raised by the Democratic Party to overthrow Edi Rama.
Abilekaj said that the protest was a manifestation without any value and considered it wrong to raise protesters' expectations that such manifestations would bring down the government.
He stated that after the disproportionate police violence at the protest, the DP should not return to the offices, but should continue the protest the next day.
"A manifestation without any value. Of course it shows some kind of opposition strength, or some kind of dissatisfaction, measuring the temperature of society, but it has no effect on the political agenda of the DP. If it has a political agenda, it should start implementing the agenda. I don't know if this is the beginning of the permanent protests that Berisha said, but the way events unfolded, after the disproportionate police violence, the DP could not close itself in the offices and wait for the next protest. The immediate reaction after the violence should have been on Sunday and the protests should have continued.
"You can invite people to come out, but you can't promise them that you will overthrow the government. If the protest is not genuine, they won't light Molotov cocktails or any other fire. This is one of the problems with the opposition protest," Abilekaj told "TPZ".
