Following the end of the three-hour Democratic Party protest in Tirana, police forces have begun arresting people suspected of involvement in acts of violence, operating with officers dressed in civilian clothes and private vehicles, without State Police identification marks.
According to images and information from the field, the interventions were carried out in various areas of the capital, mainly after the crowd dispersed, where individual persons were detained and accompanied by civilian individuals, who then left in vehicles without police logos.
Sources from the State Police indicate that these are targeted operations to identify and arrest persons suspected of having participated in throwing Molotov cocktails, attacks on state institutions and violence against officers during the protest. The number of persons arrested or the specific charges expected to be brought against them have not yet been officially made public.
