The electrical cabin of a building in the Beselidhja district of Lezha was engulfed in flames this afternoon.
Residents were scared out of their homes because the smoke penetrated inside the premises, but fortunately there was only material damage.
Firefighters intervened to get some residents out of their balconies as it was difficult to get through the stairs. Due to this incident, the electricity was cut off while the firefighters put the flames under control to normalize the situation.
Several buildings have been left without power and OSSHE groups are working to restore power. It is suspected that the cause was an electric spark in the cabin located in the basement of the building and then caused the flames to spread inside it.
