Journalist Lavdrim Lita has analyzed the next protest that the opposition is expected to hold on March 22, noting a change in the character of recent rallies.
He emphasized that protests are necessary in a democratic system, but according to him, they are no longer maintaining their original function.
"There is much to protest and the DP is right to protest, protest is the spice of democracy ," the journalist said.
However, he noted that the opposition's demands have been inconsistent and have changed frequently over time: "The objectives have been different. They started with a caretaker government, continued with the demand for the removal of Mrs. Balluku."
According to Lita, recent developments indicate a shift in the focus of the protests. "I think the recent protests are being reduced to an electoral campaign within the DP where Berisha keeps the militants charged," he told "News 24".
Lita emphasized that citizen participation remains low and does not reflect the opposition's electoral potential: "Citizens in protests are much lower compared to the votes of the DP."
Commenting on the forms of the protest, Lita said that "the Molotov cocktails protests were more enjoyable to watch, even for us journalists because we have more to comment on."
In the analysis, the journalist emphasized that the majority is not feeling real pressure from these developments, as within the DP there is no demand to move towards early elections or a technical government.
According to him, even political scandals have not produced the expected impact: "The power of scandals cannot change governance, it has become a clot."
He added that the opposition has not yet managed to create broad social pressure: "The expansion of the protest must come from outside."
Lita emphasizes that the current protests risk remaining limited within the militant base, without managing to mobilize broader layers of society and without producing a tangible political effect.
