Criminalistics expert, Ervin Karamuço, has cast another shadow of doubt over the functioning of the justice system, stating that some of SPAK's most sensational files have been blocked since before the elections and are not being signed intentionally.
In a direct response, he raised serious questions about the lack of arrests and the delay in decisions on cases with high political impact.
" Have you noticed that there have been no arrests since before the elections? How is this understood? These sensational files are there. Someone should sign them. Why don't they sign them? Is amnesty being given? They are being treated as war booty. These are files related to senior politicians and now the question arises: is the responsibility left to the new leader or is it left to the prosecutor so that he doesn't get confused? These files have been postponed since before the elections. Why aren't they signed? These are very sensational issues that they didn't want to create a stir before the elections ," Karamuço declared.
According to him, decision-making in SPAK is being influenced by political calculations and institutional balances, turning criminal cases into a currency of negotiation and pressure.
