The blockage of the Vorë-Maminas highway segment, on which works are being carried out, has caused chaos on the secondary axis, with traffic backed up for several kilometers.
Currently, from the Budulla intersection to Maminas, the line of vehicles is uninterrupted for about 15 kilometers, creating numerous delays for travelers.
While the police have acknowledged that the closure of the highway has caused traffic jams, they are appealing to citizens who have been waiting in traffic for hours to show patience.
"Due to the temporary closure of the Tirana-Durres highway, for works reasons, announced on 10.10.2025, by the Albanian Road Authority, heavy traffic has been created in several areas within the capital, as well as at its entrance and exit. Traffic Police Services and General Patrols are located at every intersection and main road segment, in order to manage and facilitate traffic.
"Tirana Police appeals to drivers to show patience, respect road signs and instructions from Police officers, and use alternative routes to avoid traffic delays ," the police announced.

We remind you that road repair works are being carried out on the Vorë-Ura e Dajlanit axis. ARRSH announced a few days ago that the works will last 1-2 days, for each segment that is blocked.

The road is being repaired, initially in the segment from Vora to Maminas. The works will continue in the segment from Maminas to Sukth, then from Sukth to Fllaka, from Fllaka to the Shkozet overpass and from the Shkozet overpass to the Daj Lan Bridge. For this reason, there will be a partial closure of the road to vehicle traffic.
After the completion of the works on the Vorë-Durrës side, work will continue on the other side, the Dajlanit Bridge-Vorë, according to the same segments and duration.
