The flames are reactivated in the shopping center in Lushnje. Although the situation was brought under control after more than 4 hours, it is learned that a little while ago the flames were activated on the top floor of the shopping center.
The fire broke out at around 2.30pm in a shoe store on the third floor of the shopping centre, and then spread throughout the centre, while smoke engulfed the entire 12-storey building. The cause is suspected to have been a spark in an air conditioner in the store where the fire is believed to have started.
The flames also engulfed a bar, which had wooden cladding, and this caused the situation to get out of control. So far, 42 people have been reported to have suffocated, among them firefighters and policemen.
