The National Bureau of Investigation has seized the server of security cameras in the Municipality of Kukës, on account of the investigations launched mainly for the former mayor Safet Gjici.
It is known that on Friday, June 16, two BKH officers arrived at the municipality of Kukës and requested a meeting with the IT manager.
After asking him if the camera system was working, the investigators entered the server room, where they stayed for about 35 minutes. During this time, they copied the recorded materials, including on the 6th, when it is suspected that the recording of the video made public where Safet Gjici is seen having sex with a woman in the mayor's office took place.
After copying the material, the two BKH officers left the Kukes Municipality, while the footage of the entrances and exits to the local institution is already being analyzed by the SPAK investigation group.
The Special Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal case mainly on the charge of "misuse of duty" against Safet Gjic, after the publication of the video on June 16, 2023. The material made public shows the recording made on another screen where in the corner, the date of the recording shows 6 June 2023, 16.00 onwards.
Sources from SPAK announced that the purpose of seizing the server in the Kukes Municipality is to verify the time when the woman who appears in the intimate video with former mayor Safet Gjici entered it. The investigative team is expected to interrogate the protagonists of the video as well.
