Doctors have fitted him with devices after problems with breathing and heart rhythm
Former President of the Republic, Alfred Moisiu, has been hospitalized at Mother Teresa Hospital for a day, where he is being treated in the intensive care unit due to a deterioration in his health condition.
Moisiu presented to the hospital with breathing problems, which required immediate medical intervention and his admission to intensive care. After initial examinations, the medical staff assessed that his condition was stabilized.
Today, doctors specializing in arrhythmology conducted the necessary consultations and made the decision to implant a dual-chamber pacemaker. This medical device is used to maintain a normal heart rhythm in cases where its electrical activity slows down or blocks.
According to clinical assessments, the former president suffers from atrioventricular block, a heart rhythm disorder that often appears in advanced age and is characterized by slow heartbeats. This problem has directly affected his general health.
Currently, Alfred Moisiu continues to be kept under constant medical observation, while his condition is reported to be stable and improving after the intervention.
