The first heat wave is coming to Albania! The thermometer will mark up to 37 degrees Celsius, the most affected cities

The weekend is expected to be influenced by stable and hot weather conditions.

The Military Meteorological Service announced that our country will be affected by stable atmospheric conditions as a result of hot and dry air masses originating from North Africa.

On Saturday, Tirana will mark 35 degrees Celsius, while Berat will mark 36 degrees. 

Temperatures are expected to reach 37 degrees Celsius on Sunday in Tirana, Elbasan and Gjirokastër.

The wind is expected to be from the northwest-southwest with an average speed of up to 7m/sec, which sometimes along the coastline and valley areas gains speed up to 10m/sec. The waves in the seas are expected to be of force 2-3.
