The African heat "hits" Albania, as the temperatures are expected to be this weekend

The first weekend of June will mark extremely high temperatures for the start of the summer season.

According to meterologists, the thermometer will mark up to 36-37 degrees Celsius. The districts of Elbasan, Berat and Gjirokastër will be the hottest, due to the sub-Saharan air masses coming from the deserts of Chad, while the weather will be cooler in Tirana and Shkodër.

On the other hand, due to the way the African air current is moving, the thermometer will record high values ​​on the weekend even in cities like Pogradeci, Erseka and Korça, areas which are traditionally cool. This weekend, the thermometer is expected to reach 30°C and 31°C.
