The hearing has started in the Durrës Court, where the three children of Pëllumb Meta are also present, who are accused of murdering their father in the village of Saint Vlash.
The prosecution has requested the security measure "Arrest with prison" for Hygerta Meta, Hysen Meta and Amaralido Meta.
The daughter of the family and the eldest son Hyseni are accused of 3 criminal offenses, as according to the accusation they are the persons who conceived and carried out the murder plan.
Meanwhile, the younger brother is only charged with the criminal act of obstructing the disclosure of the truth, because he helped transport the car to reinforce the alibi of the disappearance.
Three criminal offenses will burden the daughter and the eldest son of the family: "Murder due to family relations carried out in collaboration", "Possessing without permission and production of explosive weapons and ammunition, "Hiding or disposing of the corpse".
The youngest son of the family, Amaralido Meta, 22 years old, will be charged with "Actions that prevent the discovery of the truth".
We remind you that only the eldest daughter of the family, married in Krujë, took part in the funeral ceremony of Pëllumb Meta, while her 2 brothers and sister are behind bars, accused of the planned murder of their father.
The ex-wife of the deceased was not part of the funeral ceremony either, who was taken under the protection of the Durrës police.
The latter was afraid of any possible conflict between Pëllumbi's brothers and their sister-in-law, which is why she accompanied him to her father's family in Laç.
In a statement to the media, the director of the Durrës district police, Skënder Hitaj, said that Pëllumb Meta was shot on February 10 by the eldest son of the family with 4 bullets from a model 54 pistol.
He told the investigative team that he had planned the murder together with his sister Hygerta Meta, 19 years old, while the other 22-year-old brother helped hide the corpse.
