Ermal Onuzi has been elected the new head of the Guard of the Republic.
There were six competitors in the race for the head of the Republic Guard, among them the former head of the State Police Artan Didi. The names of the candidates were specifically: Artan Didi, Dritan Osmani, Krenar Carcani, Klajdi Hajredinaj, Ermal Onuzi and Jona Lamko.
After a long and detailed process of evaluation and interviews, Ermal Onuzi has emerged as the winner and will take the responsibility to lead the Guard of the Republic.
The appointment of Ermal Onuz to this position came after the resignation of Gramoz Sako as head of the Guard of the Republic. He has a professional experience in security, previously working for a concession company. Onuzi has played an important role in managing security issues.
