A big fire has broken out in the garbage dump in Përmet.
The flames are spreading and burning all the waste deposited in the Piskovo landfill, where since last year it has been transformed into the garbage dump of the entire Municipality of Përmet.
Firefighters have gone to the scene and are trying to put the flames under control.
Residents of the village of Piskovë say that the employees of the Municipality of Përmet set a controlled fire on the garbage, but then it got out of their control.
Also, the waste field in the city of Vlora was engulfed in flames. Firefighters have arrived at the scene and are working to extinguish them.
It is suspected that the fire was set intentionally, while the wind is favoring the spread of the flames.
