The fire at the "5 Maji" market continues. The acting Mayor of Tirana, Anuela Ristani, has gone to the scene, saying that there is no risk of the fire spreading to residential areas.
Ristani said it will take some time to get everything under control.
"Extinguishing the fire, very significant, that spread from the warehouses of the industrial park, due only to the materials that were inside. It has also spread to the second silo. There is no risk of the fire spreading to residential areas. We are controlling it to completely eliminate the fire in this area. There is no harm to people. It will take some time to bring everything under control. The area is quite large. The surrounding businesses have not burned, only the warehouses have burned," Ristani told the media.
