SPAK has set in motion the London authorities and is cooperating in the framework of the investigations against Meta.
The head of the Special Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, Altin Dumani, has visited London with the aim of fighting organized crime and money laundering.
The head of SPAK had a one-on-one meeting with Graeme Biggar, Director General of the NCA, the National Crime Agency, known as the British FBI.
This is the second meeting between them, after the signing of the joint cooperation memorandum in Tirana, in February 2024.
Based on this memorandum, SPAK-NCA joint teams have been set up, where the focus is on Albanian organized crime in Great Britain and money laundering. But this strengthening of cooperation is an alarm bell for politicians with properties in Britain and especially Ilir Meta.
Ilir Meta is among those names who have often been accused of having property and money abroad. London is one of the most rumored places that he hid millions of pounds there. A few years ago, a well-known journalist in the country stated that some English journalists had tracked down an Albanian company registered in London, which is a cover for a very powerful Albanian politician.
