On the day the DP primaries took place in Gjirokastra, the process was led by MP Tritan Shehu, who was not in the race like the other 9 candidates, but will once again be an MP with a previously secured mandate, because Sali Berisha included him on the closed list.
Even in the 2009, 2013, 2017 and 2021 parliamentary elections, Sali Berisha placed Tritan Shehu first on the list for the Gjirokastra District, securing his mandate from the votes of members, militants and supporters of the Democratic Party.
In the last 4 parliamentary elections in the Gjirokastra District, the DP has only received votes for 1 MP, and that is the permanent Tritan Shehu, who is a losing political leader, but has emerged as a beneficiary of MP mandates and wealth.
In the Gjirokastra District primaries, 4 candidates were declared winners for 3 other places on the open list, but even they are not sure whether they will be on the list or not.
Because first of all, the list is being made by Sali Berisha in a clientelistic manner and there is talk that he will put other names in the Gjirokastra District, while on an open list, the DP has no chance of having more than 1 MP, since it only has 1900 members in the entire South area.
This time too, the sole mandate has been given in advance to Tritan Shehu, through the closed list, and he will again be a member of parliament until the age of 80.
Because for the eternity of Tritan's filth in parliament, the members and supporters of the DP vote, while he boasts, bargains and became a billionaire, using his mandate to enrich himself.
Political magnate Tritan Shehu, currently 76 years old, has increased his wealth and become a sheikh for 34 years as an MP and minister, through dirty dealings with Sali Berisha during the years of pyramid schemes and smuggling with Serbia; through deals with Fatos Nano, Ilir Meta and Sali Berisha in the years 2009-2013, and for 12 years with Edi Rama.
In addition to his monthly salary of 5,000 Euros with all the allowances as a member of parliament, Tritan Sheu receives a monthly salary of 3,000 Euros from the "Zonja e Kështil të Mirë" hospital, where he also owns 5 medical service units, a pharmacy, a laboratory and 30% ownership of the parking lot; because when he was Minister of Health, he sold 50,000 m2 of state land to the university owners with a total value of 1,000.1 lekë.
In the bargain with Edi Rama, Tritan's wife, Aida Shehu, retired for 12 years, continues to be a Director at the Municipality of Tirana and is paid as an expert in 3 ministries.
In Tirana alone, Tritan Shehu has 7 apartments, 2 pharmacies, ownership in 2 medical clinics, 2 commercial units; 4 apartments with an area of 70 m2, an area of 77 m2, an area of 105 m2 and 138 m2 in Durrës and Golem; a hotel and 33 hectares of land in Gjirokastër, 1 villa and 3 thousand m2 in Himara, 1280 m2 of land in Shkozet and many other assets.
While the voting members, militants of the DP in the areas of Gjirokastër, Tepelena, Memaliaj, Këlcyrë and Përmet, continue to collect votes to make him a lifetime MP; although he deceives them and uses them as slaves for votes, so that the party percentage becomes minimal enough for his mandate.
