The Republican candidate for vice president, JD Vance, has called today for the president, Joe Biden, to step down immediately.
According to him, all the Democrats who call on Biden to stop the presidential race without asking him to resign from the presidency are at an absurd level of cynicism".
He argues that if Biden is not able to compete in the next election, it means that he is not even able to carry out his duties as president and therefore he should resign now.
“Anyone calling on Joe Biden to *stop running* without also calling on him to resign the presidency is engaging in an absurd level of cynicism. If you can't compete, you can't serve. He should resign now", he said on the social network "X".
