During the Justice Department press conference, officials released photos of guns, knives and other items allegedly in the possession of Cole Tomas Allen, who shot at the event where Trump was present.
Attorney General Todd Blanche referred to one of the images showing the long gun, stressing that it was the weapon Allen used during the shooting.
According to him, preliminary data indicates that the cartridge was still inside the weapon, which indicates that it was fired only once and was not reloaded afterwards.
Authorities are continuing their investigations to fully verify the circumstances of the use of weapons and to confirm the evidence collected at the scene.
