The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, has reacted after the Russian attack on the Nova Kakhovka dam in Ukraine.
In a post on social networks, as he considered it unprecedented, Michel added that he will present his proposal for aid to the flooded areas after the attack on a Ukrainian dam at the June Summit. Among other things, the EC president said that Russia will bear responsibility for the attack.
"The destruction of civilian infrastructure is clearly a war crime, and we will hold Russia and its proxies accountable. I will raise this issue in June at the European Council and propose more aid for the flooded areas. My thoughts are with all the families in Ukraine affected by this disaster", concludes the president of the European Council.
