
A serious event shook Serbia today, after a bloody incident occurred in front of the Parliament.
Vladan Angjelkovic, 70, from Belgrade, shot and seriously injured an unarmed man. He then set fire to a tent in front of the Parliament and threw a handful of bullets into the fire.
The injured man was transported to the hospital where doctors are fighting for his life. The police immediately intervened and detained the elderly man.
When asked why he appeared before the Assembly, Angjelkovic said: “ These tents bother me .”
Then he described his arrival in detail: " The taxi driver, you can verify, picked me up at Tadeusz Kosciuszko and took me to McDonald's. "
When asked what McDonald's he was talking about, he replied, " Well, this is McDonald's ."
The police officer specified: "In Terazije?" (Theatre in Belgrade, next to it there is a "McDonald's" point)
" Yes, " Andjelkovic replied.
He confirmed that he left the house, got into a taxi, arrived in the center and then: " I was taking out a car that I had filled with gasoline at the gas station on French Street. I tried to pour gasoline on the tent to burn it. But a man was passing by who saw me and shot at him. Then I shot several times at the bucket of gasoline ."
When arrested, police officers ask the suspect if he had any previous mental disorders, and he replies that he " never had any officially diagnosed problems ."
