A serious incident occurred in the north of Tel Aviv, in a suspected terrorist attack.
Reuters reports that a Palestinian allegedly attacked several people with a knife, then stole a car and drove into a crowd of people.
From preliminary information, it is reported that as a result of the car attack, 13 people were injured, while the number of people injured with a knife is not yet known.
The event comes amid heightened tensions in the Middle East and the 3-month war between Israel and Hamas militants.
"This was apparently a suspected terrorist attack," Israeli police said in a statement.
According to authorities, the suspect is from the city of Hebron in the West Bank.
The injured persons were urgently sent to the hospital to receive the necessary medical care, while the work to clarify the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
Citing witnesses in an earlier report, Army Radio said the incident may have been a carjacking during which the stolen vehicle crashed.
