Iran threatens US: Every choice has its price, the bill comes at the end
Iran threatens US on brink of nuclear weapons deal

The US naval blockade and the escalation of war crimes in Lebanon by Israel are clear evidence of the US failure to respect the ceasefire, warned Mohammad Bayer Ghalibaf.

The head of the Iranian negotiating team in talks with Washington and the re-elected speaker of the Iranian parliament, in a post on X, directly accused the US of undermining the process of exiting the crisis.

"Every choice has its price and the bill comes at the end. Everything will be resolved," the Iranian official wrote in a threatening tone.

Netanyahu ordered explosions in Beirut

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tuesday he had ordered the military to strike targets in the southern suburbs of Beirut, a Hezbollah stronghold, as Israel expands military operations in southern Lebanon.

"Due to repeated violations of the ceasefire in Lebanon by the terrorist organization Hezbollah and attacks against our cities and citizens, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered the Israeli military to strike terrorist targets" in the southern suburbs of Beirut, the statement said.

Tehran reiterated on Monday that a ceasefire in Lebanon, where the Israeli military is stepping up its attacks on Iran-allied Hezbollah, is a prerequisite for any deal with Washington to end the war in the Middle East.

"We insist that a ceasefire in Lebanon is a fundamental condition for any agreement aimed at ending the war" with the United States, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai said at a press conference in the Iranian capital.

Tehran accuses Washington of continuing ceasefire violations

Iran's Foreign Ministry accused the United States on Monday of continuing to violate the fragile ceasefire between the two warring countries, after US airstrikes on Iranian territory prompted Iranian military retaliation.

"The US is violating the ceasefire, just as it did this morning," Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai said at a press conference in the Iranian capital, also denouncing Israel's violation of the ceasefire in Lebanon.

"We will not hesitate to take all measures we deem necessary to protect Iran's national security," the Iranian official said.

He stressed that a delay in the diplomatic process to end the US-Iran war could be explained by a lack of trust, Washington's contradictory positions and Israel's attacks on Lebanon.

"The negotiations began amidst strong suspicion and mistrust, and the exchange of messages is taking place in this climate ," the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said.

"The other side is constantly changing its views and presenting new or contradictory demands (...) it is natural that this situation will prolong the negotiations ," he said.

He clarified that the Iranian side is not discussing Iran's nuclear program with the US at this stage.

He also reiterated Tehran's position that a ceasefire in Lebanon, where the Israeli military is intensifying its attacks on Hezbollah, an Iranian ally, is a prerequisite for any deal with Washington to end the war in the Middle East.

"We insist that a ceasefire in Lebanon is a fundamental condition for any agreement aimed at ending the war" with the United States, Baghai said.
