Daoud Ali Zadeh was the top Iranian commander overseeing operations related to Lebanon and held a rank equivalent to brigadier general.
The Israeli military has announced that an airstrike on the Iranian capital, Tehran, led to the killing of the commander of Iran's Quds Force in Lebanon, Daoud Ali Zadeh.
According to an IDF statement, the Israeli Air Force, acting on intelligence guidance, struck and killed Daoud Ali Zadeh, who had served as the acting head of the unit responsible for Iran's activities in relation to Lebanon.
The attack was part of an escalating wave of military action between Israel and Iran since the start of the conflict on February 28.
The Quds Force is the elite component of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), responsible for operations abroad and for supporting allied groups in the Middle East such as Hezbollah and Shiite militias.
In addition to Zadeh, previous fighting and airstrikes have resulted in the killing or elimination of several high-ranking Iranian leaders during the escalation of the conflict, according to various international reports and military sources:
Leaders killed in Israeli attacks on Iran and Tirana during the conflict:
Ali Khamenei – Supreme Leader of Iran, killed in the attacks of February 28, 2026.
Ali Shadmani – Chief of Army Staff and top military commander, killed during an airstrike in Tehran.

Currently, no Iranian or Israeli authorities have provided full official details of the final death toll or confirmation of each individual's role in the events, but most of these deaths have been reported by external sources during the escalation of the conflict.
The situation remains tense, as Israel continues its military campaign inside Iranian territory and conflicts with allied forces in the region continue to escalate.
