Emirates warns: Hormuz "red line" in any US-Iran deal!

The diplomatic advisor to the president of the United Arab Emirates, Anwar Gargash, stated that any agreement to end the conflict between the US and Iran must guarantee freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

He stressed the strategic importance of this sea route for the global economy, warning that its security cannot be used as a tool of pressure. "The Strait of Hormuz cannot be held hostage by any country," Gargash declared.

According to him, any solution must clearly include guaranteeing access to this key oil artery. "Freedom of navigation through it must be an integral part of any agreement ," he said.

The senior Emirati official also warned of the consequences of a partial agreement. He stressed that a ceasefire that does not address Iran's nuclear program, as well as its development of missiles and drones, could worsen the situation in the region.

"Such an agreement would lead to a more dangerous and unstable Middle East," Gargash said.

The diplomatic adviser added that the Emirates supports an end to the war, but not at the expense of long-term security. "We do not want to see further escalation," he declared, stressing that a ceasefire must address the root causes of the conflict.

According to him, these include especially Iran's military activities in the region. "We do not want a ceasefire that does not address the main issues ... especially the nuclear program, the missiles and drones that continue to fall on us and on other countries," Gargash said.
