The Health Ministry announced that 11 more deaths due to starvation have been reported in Gaza. This brings the total number of people who have died from malnutrition in the torn enclave to 212, including 98 children.

Meanwhile, at least 38 people were killed and 491 injured as a result of Israeli army military activity over the past 24 hours.

The death toll continues to rise amid reports that residents have been told to evacuate Gaza City by October 7, 2025, following the announcement of Israel's controversial plan to take full control of the area.

According to Israeli media, the government has set a two-month deadline before launching a military operation in the main city of Gaza, which will also coincide with the second anniversary of the start of the war. The new plan, approved by the Israeli security cabinet and detailed on Friday, lists five principles for ending the war in Gaza, including taking control of security in the territory.

Media reports suggest the plan will focus initially on the occupation of Gaza City, forcing the displacement of about 1 million residents there, further south. The plan has been sharply criticized by world leaders and has prompted strong reactions within Israel, including from military officials and families of hostages who fear for their safety.

US President Donald Trump earlier said that the decision to occupy or not the coastal enclave was up to Israel.
