Dimitar Kovacevski, Prime Minister of North Macedonia, said that he will not meet with the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov.
Kovačeski said that this is in no way a victory for Russia, but it is a diplomatic victory for the OSCE, as it showed once again that it will continue to function and be a guarantee of ensuring the development of democratic and peaceful processes.
" I will not have a meeting with Lavrov. No, this is in no way a victory for Russian diplomacy, this is a diplomatic victory for the OSCE, because the functioning of the OSCE was called into question. With this, the OSCE will continue to function and will continue to be a guarantee for ensuring and developing democratic and peaceful processes.
I hope that the decisions on the election of the new chairman for the 4 most important positions of the OSCE, as well as the approval of the budget, will be confirmed. We must be aware that each country in its own way sends a message about the unjust aggression that Russia is carrying out against Ukraine, some are doing it with their absence, and some with their presence and with already clear positions regarding this aggression unfair. I will do the same in my speech that I will give at the opening of this important event ", said Dimitar Kovacevski.
