The first meeting of the new government cabinet headed by Talat Xhaferin was held in North Macedonia.
Xhaferi has chosen to conduct the meeting in both languages.
First, he congratulated the technical government for taking office.
"I will open the session in both languages at the beginning, there is no need for headphones, because I will say the same thing. I welcome you to the Government of North Macedonia at the first constitutive session of the transitional government of North Macedonia. Before moving on to the approval of the agenda, to all members of the government, on my behalf, I would like to congratulate you on your election and wish you successful work and cooperation", said Xhaferi.
The Prime Minister stated that he will do everything to fulfill the recommendations of the OSCE-ODIHR so that the next elections are within the standards.
Xhaferi said that the preparation of these elections is a very important task.
"Preparing fair and free elections in a democratic atmosphere is a key task before us. In this we have an obligation to cooperate with the Parliament and the SEC and with the OSCE/ODIHR mission, with the EU and the USA to ensure the highest European standards in the election campaign and the elections themselves so that citizens can express their will freely", said Xhaferi in front of his cabinet.
