
The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, in a press conference this Wednesday, commented on the sinking of the ship in Pylos, where dozens of migrants lost their lives as a result.
Von der Leyen said that such an event was terrible, as he promised 15 billion euros for immigration. She emphasized that the magnitude of today's challenges requires urgent and quick responses.
" We must work more intensively with our neighbors to promote economic development, to stabilize these countries. We need an additional budget for Syrian refugees in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey...
