The latest developments in the conflict between the US, Israel and Iran point to further escalation in the region.
The conflict in the Middle East is escalating further as the United States increases pressure on Tehran and military operations continue on several fronts.
Donald Trump warned that if a deal with Iran is not reached soon, the US could undertake widespread destruction of energy infrastructure and other critical facilities, including desalination plants. He also brought up the possibility of seizing control of Kharg Island, Iran's main oil export hub.
At the same time, he stated that Washington is in negotiations with the speaker of the Iranian parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. However, Tehran categorically denies any direct contact, describing reports of talks through Pakistan as a "pretext."
Around midnight, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu assessed that the war had "passed the halfway point," without giving a deadline for its conclusion, leaving open the possibility of prolonged operations.
On the ground, a strong missile attack was recorded in Isfahan, Iran, in the early hours of the morning, while the US and Israel launched a new wave of air strikes.
In parallel, according to reports, Tehran struck critical water and energy infrastructure in Kuwait, while Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates announced that they had neutralized Iranian missiles.
In the Persian Gulf, concerns about shipping safety are growing after a drone attack on a Kuwaiti tanker in Dubai set the ship on fire. No injuries were reported, but there is a risk of marine pollution.
On the Lebanese front, Israel has intervened in the south of the country with the aim of driving out Hezbollah, while clashes along the border continue. Three UN peacekeepers were killed in less than 24 hours, without responsibility being determined, while an Israeli attack on Saturday in southern Lebanon killed three journalists.
The death toll continues to rise: over 1,900 killed in Iran, more than 1,200 in Lebanon, 19 in Israel, and 13 members of the US armed forces. Millions of people have been displaced in Iran and Lebanon.

Electricity restored in Tehran
Power supply was restored to areas of eastern Tehran after outages caused by damage to infrastructure. According to the Fars and Tasnim agencies, fragments from the strikes damaged a substation, causing a temporary outage, which was quickly resolved by technical teams.
4 more soldiers killed in southern Lebanon
The Israeli military said four more soldiers were killed in southern Lebanon. The victims included two 21-year-olds and a 22-year-old, while the identity of the fourth soldier has not yet been released. Since March 2, at least 10 Israeli soldiers have been killed in the area.

WSJ: Trump open to ending war without opening Strait of Hormuz
According to the Wall Street Journal, citing US officials, Trump is willing to end the war even if the Strait of Hormuz remains largely closed. An operation to open it is estimated that would lead to further escalation and exceed the four to six week deadline that Washington has set.
In this context, the US is considering an alternative strategy aimed at weakening Iran's navy and missile arsenals, before a possible de-escalation phase and diplomatic pressure to resume trade.
