Pakistan's Interior Minister met with Araghchi in Tehran

Two days after the latest US peace deal proposal was submitted to Pakistan, Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held another meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran, according to the semi-official Tasnim and ISNA agencies.

Naqvi is mediating to reach a framework for ending the war and resolving disputes, ISNA reported.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said yesterday that there were "some positive signals" in the talks, but there will be no solution if Iran insists on imposing tariffs on the Strait of Hormuz, which has essentially been closed to most passage since the war began on February 28.

A senior Iranian official told Reuters that differences in the negotiations have narrowed, although enriched uranium and control of the strait remain complicated issues.
