"They are lobbying strongly against me", Abazovic: The fight against

The Prime Minister with a technical mandate in Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic, says that the crackdown on cigarette smuggling has cost him, as he has made many enemies in Montenegro.

In the show "Real Story" on ABC News, Abazovic said that for 3 years he has been under "media fire" because there are many accusations and propaganda.

" I have made many enemies in Montenegro. An extremely large and financially powerful lobby that ran a campaign against me from the very beginning. For three years I have been under the media fire, there are many accusations, a propaganda, but I am still surprised that people are grateful for some things that have been done. People are happy that there are still brave people in the political scene, who do not fall under influence and are ready to take that risk for themselves ", he declared.

Abazovic added that relations with the new president, Jakov Milatovic, are very good, and Montenegro is oriented towards the West.

" We have had three elections in Montenegro. We have reached a level where the process is carried out as in Western Europe, without any tension and this is the merit of the government. I have a very good relationship with the new President. The main thing was not to have disagreements regarding values. When we keep the western orientation of Montenegro, we are fine. Right now, the President is completely in that direction. I agree with you that we live in a world where there are changes, where emotions sometimes exceed rationality, but I think that I still carry the flag of Western politics in my party and we will try to be the Alliance that will push Montenegro as much as possible. towards the EU ", he said.

According to him, Albanians in Montenegro have never been better than now.

" Albanians have never been better than they are now. After 45 years, we returned the lands to the Albanian families, we started a cycle of investments, we signed a historic agreement for the construction of the bridge over the Buna together with the government of Albania. We have changed the perception and an ethnic distance towards the Albanians, which has either been eliminated or is in a very small possibility. All Albanians in Montenegro should be integrated without any discrimination," continued Abazovic, while adding that the Albanians of Tuzi have also had an open door of the government ," he emphasized.
