US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is conducting an official visit to Saudi Arabia, as part of a tour in the Middle East, where talks will focus on reaching a ceasefire in Gaza.
This is Blinken's fifth visit to the Middle East since the start of the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
It seems that Washington is continuing its efforts to reach a ceasefire in this conflict, while a response from Hamas regarding the proposed agreement is still awaited.
Blinken is also expected to visit Egypt, Qatar and Israel during the week.
The proposed agreement is primarily aimed at the release of Israeli hostages held in Gaza, and Palestinian hostages held in Israel.
